My only complaint about this practice has been the sometimes long waiting times in the past to get through to a receptionist to make and appointment or order a repeat pres cription though this in fairness does seemed to have improved lately. The new online appointment booking service is excellent and time saving and usually means I can see my preferred GP. Whilst I have not always been able to see my own GP for some urgent appointments I have always been able to see one of the other doctors often on the same day. On the whole I have found the doctors and receptionists both helpful and caring

The initiation of an appointments system whereby appointments can only be booked for later the same morning or early afternoon is the main bugbear as you have to ring precisely at 8.30 a.m. and IF you are lucky enough ever to get through to someone the limited number of available appointments will almost certainly all have been taken so you have to try again the next morning at 8.30 and so on. It means nothing can be planned in advance and you can only ring on any day when you can drop absolutely everything to go there for an appointment with God knows whom, very probably not your own doctor. What patients need is the restoration of the former appointments system whereby you could ring up and make an appointment for a specific time on a specific day whether that is later that week or in the following week or two weeks or even up to a month ahead if you were going to be working or staying away in the interim or had a hospital appointment in that period and your doctor wanted to see you after your appointment so please let us all get back to that system as soon as possible and abandon the chaotic shambles of this new, much lamented system.

The reception system isn't great and things would improve if patients were treated like customers all the time, not dependant on the mood of some of the reception staff.

I have always found the doctors very proficient and the reception staff very helpful and polite.If I don't need to see a specific doctor I am usually offered an appointment within 24 hours.The prescription service is also excellent e.g.ring or call one day and the prescription is ready the next.

So difficult to get an appointment here, the staff on the telephones are rude and snappy! I rang for an appointment today for myself and my daughter and the woman on the phone asked me why I wanted to see the doctor and because I wouldn't tell her she said she could not offer me an appointment for today, i rang the surgery at 8:35am as everyone is told to call at 8:30am for an appointment, I thought I was doing well to get through at 8:35 and surely I could be seen really disappointed thinking of moving my family else where.
